The State of South Carolina ranks consistently in the top ten states in the nation for rate of new diagnoses of HIV per capita, with our state ranking 8th in the nation for rate of new AIDS cases. The CDC considers SC one of its top 10 “Hot Spots” nationally. Now more than ever, organizations in South Carolina need financial support to continue their invaluable services for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Within our own state, with significant budget rescissions and a sustained increase in the numbers of patients served, SC is now required to remove currently active patients from various programs in addition to wait-listing all new patients to remain fiscally solvent. With your support, we can work to change this situation.

We would like to invite you to be a part of our Second Annual Palmetto Holiday Showcase, which will help raise awareness of the significant statistics as well as much needed financial support for statewide grant funding.

The AIDS Benefit Foundation of South Carolina is made up of volunteers from the Columbia area, giving up our time simply because we believe in this organization and what it does for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.
